Embark on a vivid journey showcasing the intense power of natural forces, from lightning to welding sparks. It is surrounded by a sci-fi atmosphere, potentially representing Venus' captivating ambiance. Yet, it’s more than that; it’s a complex display sparking curiosity about the universe’s energy, both near and far.
An abstraction of the phenomenon of waves, that carry energy, light, sound, and information through space, but remain mostly invisible to our senses. With a series of light circles strategically placed throughout the space, The Wavescope makes this hidden phenomenon visible. The installation offers a simple yet powerful visual experience that evokes curiosity and wonder about the magic of waves and vibrations.
A series of light cocoons, entangled strings of light, direct a characteristic sound, known as white noise, which represents a set of sounds of different audible frequencies, among which none dominates, from their interior into the surroundings. The installation presents a unique analogy with the information (white) noise of the modern world, which erases meanings and creates backgrounds in which everything and nothing becomes inextricably intertwined.
Inspired by the creative processes that will take place inside the new building for the arts — painting, crafting, and artistic exploration—the work represents droplets of color falling from an artist’s palette. These small, accidental splashes, often seen as mistakes or unwanted messes, land chaotically on floors or clothes. Yet, they reveal unexpected beauty, symbolizing how art can emerge from chance and how inspiration often flourishes in imperfection.
This series of installations explores the profound parallels between cosmic phenomena and the full spectrum of human love and attraction.
From the explosive spark of a starburst symbolizing new love and the collective strength of a star cluster representing community, through the dual potential for joy or destruction in an asteroid's path, to the enduring passion of a red giant and the fleeting poignancy of a meteor, each work uses the vastness of the universe to illuminate our most intimate emotions.
